ABOUT THE JOB The Superintendent is responsible for all day-to-day operations and activities of the Finance and Human Resources departments.
Key Finance responsibilities include:
Process Payroll including quarterly and annual state and federal payroll reporting.
Oversee and prepare annual budget process monitoring expenses and revenues as required.
Prepare and publish monthly financial reports.
Process AP/AR.
Oversee annual audit.
Key Human Resources responsibilities include:
Oversee and implement recruitment processes.
Administer and oversee new hire orientation training.
Oversee employee policy implementation, discipline and all Human Resources related communications.
Oversee and develop employee benefits and employee policies.
Oversee agency annual review process.
Responsible for overseeing workers' compensation and unemployment claims.
Supervise Human Resources Coordinator and Marketing & Communication Manager.
ABOUT YOU Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, human resources or related field (CPA, MS, or MBA highly desirable).
Minimum of five years of full-time experience involving accounting, budgeting, payroll processing, financial forecasting, purchasing and/or human resources.
Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state law and local ordinances related to finance, accounting, purchasing and Human Resources.
Personnel management skills to effectively plan, motivate, train and supervise staff.
Knowledge of current standards of professional practice and ability to apply these standards to daily work.
A valid Illinois Driver's License and personal transportation to accomplish position responsibilities.
SCHEDULING & PAY This is a full-time, year-round position that requires occasional evening and weekend work.
The salary range is $103,500 to $144,000 a year dependent on qualifications.
